Bio
Lisa graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1998 with a BFA in photography. She went on to receive a master's degree in art education in 1999 from RIT. Since 1999, she has been teaching art at a high school in New Jersey. Lisa has also spent 4 summers abroad teaching an advanced experimental photography class in London, England. Lisa takes time to pursue her personal career as an artist as well. She works mainly as a photographer and painter. Most of what she creates has to do with a moment...or the combination of many moments...of her past, the present, a place, a feeling, a memory, a sound, a desire. These moments that were significant and transformed into a visual experience. Quite often Lisa paints in response to music at live performances. Public art is another interest of hers; being parallel to her philosophy that art should be for everyone.
In January of 2005 the most amazing thing happened...Lisa's first daughter, Isabella!!! Although Lisa still pursues painting and photography, she has also been busy crafting. She creates a variety of handmade objects, including bookmarks, notecards, and children's accessories.

(I recently ran into an old student of mine and he said it was really time to update my bio picture...so here's a newer one. I guess I'm getting OLD!)
